"A great presentation doesn't persuade people. It helps them persuade themselves."
By the end of this Beacon, you'll know how to turn a simple idea into a beautiful, ready-to-present slide deck โ in just a few minutes. No design skills needed. No PowerPoint frustration. Just a short prompt, and Gamma does the rest.
Gamma โ https://gamma.app
Gamma is an AI-powered presentation tool. You describe what you want, and it builds the slides for you โ with layout, text, and images already in place. The result looks professional straight away, and you can edit anything you don't like.
Gamma works in your browser. You'll need to create a free account โ your Gmail address is perfect for this.
Most people spend hours on presentations. Choosing a template, arranging text, finding images, tweaking colours โ it adds up fast.
Gamma flips that around. You start with a sentence or two describing your topic, and Gamma builds the whole thing. You review it, adjust what you want, and you're done.
It's not magic โ but it's pretty close. ๐
Gamma makes the first version, but you decide what stays.
Before it generates, you can choose:
And once the presentation is ready, every slide is editable. Click on any text to change it. Don't like an image? Replace it in one click.
You don't need to click "Save." Gamma saves everything to your account as you work. You can come back later, make changes, or share it with someone directly from Gamma.
When you're ready to take it elsewhere, you can export it โ as a PowerPoint file, a Google Slides presentation, a PDF, or a set of images. Just click Share in the top right corner, then choose Export.
Open https://gamma.app and sign in with your Gmail account. If it's your first time, Gamma will ask a few quick questions (personal use, team size, how you heard about them) โ just pick whatever fits and move on.
Click + Create new, then choose Generate. On the next screen, Presentation will already be selected โ that's exactly what you want.
In the text box, type:
Leave the other settings as they are (the defaults work great) and click Generate outline.
Gamma shows you the slide structure before it builds anything. Have a quick look โ you can edit titles or bullet points here if you want. When you're happy, scroll down and click Generate.
In about 30 seconds, your slide deck is ready. Click through the slides on the left. Try clicking on a text block to edit it. See what the images look like.
Click Share in the top right corner, then Export. Try downloading it as a PowerPoint or PDF.
Want to try a different topic? Here are some ideas:
Look at the slide titles Gamma chose. You asked for a short introduction โ notice how it created a logical flow on its own: a problem, a solution, benefits, practical tips, and a closing call to action.
The "aha" here: you gave Gamma one sentence, and it made all the editorial decisions for you. That's the real time-saver โ not just the design, but the thinking.
The free plan gives you a starting balance of credits.
Each presentation uses some credits. The free allowance is enough to create several decks and explore the tool comfortably โ no payment needed.
Gamma said 10 slides, not 5.
You asked for 5 slides, but Gamma generated 10. That's normal โ it sometimes adjusts based on the topic. You can always delete slides you don't need.
You can edit after generating.
Nothing is locked in. Click any text to change it, click any image to swap it. Think of the first version as a very good first draft.
Export goes through Share.
It's not the most obvious path โ but Share โ Export is where you'll find PowerPoint, Google Slides, PDF, and PNG options.
Gamma works in other languages too.
On the Generate screen, there's a language dropdown โ set to English by default. You can switch it to your own language before generating, and Gamma will create the whole presentation in that language instead.
You've just built a presentation from a single sentence. Design, images, structure โ all done in minutes.
Up next โ Beacon 25: Automate the boring stuff.
You'll get your first look at Make.com โ a tool that connects apps and runs tasks automatically, so you don't have to.
No rush. Come back whenever you're ready. 🙂
